At the heart of Olympics Spirit Day, our mission is to create a nurturing and academically enriching atmosphere where everyone in our community can flourish and succeed, embracing diversity, inclusion, and equality. We celebrate the unique differences and characteristics of our youth and their families, cherishing each individual for who they are. We emphasize the significance of advocating for diversity, inclusion, and equality across our diverse communities.

Spirit Day Cares

Our Mission

We aim to unite organizations and communities during the first week of October, “National Week,” for a spirited fun day supporting families in our communities. We welcome everyone to join our walk, collecting non-perishable food items for the Houston Food Bank to feed the growing homeless population and unwrapped toys for children aged 14 and under for Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee’s 25th Annual Mega Christmas Party.

We are committed to collaborating with various school districts, churches, businesses, corporations, and sorority groups and partnering with organizations like the National Council, Texas  Council, Communities in Schools (CIS), Texas Network of Youth Services (TNOYS), YMCA, Hogg Foundation, Transition Age Youth (TAY), Mental Health Agencies, TWC, and more. Together, we connect at-risk high school students with disabilities, their parents, and family members to community resources through our Health and Wellness Resource Fair, helping them lead healthier lives. Community outreach is the key to understanding how walk activities support diversity education and community awareness. We truly believe we are “Stronger and Better” when we come together, advocating for diversity, inclusion, and equality.
